AITHENA attended the Code Clarity Annual Conference and Networking Event on 4 November as Gold Sponsor. The conference, themed "Giving notice to the PMCPA," brought together compliance directors, medical affairs professionals, and regulatory experts to explore how PMCPA modernisation and smarter risk management can keep pharmaceutical innovation compliant and complaints at bay. AITHENA hosted a dedicated exhibition stand, speaking with over a hundred attendees on AI-powered solutions for ABPI Code compliance and PMCPA regulatory challenges.
Dr. William McCully joined fellow panellist Laragh de Bhulbh, chaired by Jean Woolcock, for the discussion "Before the PMCPA Does: Spotting Risk in Medical Activities First." Dr. McCully shared his expertise in AI from the perspective of a former signatory and tech founder. The panel covered topics from MSL engagement to the rise of AI in compliance, alongside broader discussion on regulatory risk management in the evolving UK landscape.
The conference reinforced two themes that sit at the heart of what AITHENA is building. Compliance confidence should belong to every team, not just those with the resources to support large review functions. And the goal is not less compliance — it is better compliance. A world where the PMCPA's workload is minimal because the industry has built the capability to regulate itself.
MLRcle was built by people who understand these challenges from the inside — former medical signatories, NHS clinicians, and major pharma veterans who have lived the operational reality of pharmaceutical compliance firsthand.
